About CCD
The Center for Cognitive Development at Tel Aviv University was established in 2020 with the aim of providing a home for researchers of cognitive development at Tel Aviv University. The center currently combines the developmental studies of Prof. Shlomit Yuval-Greenberg and Dr. Sagi Jaffe-Dax.
The research at CCD
We study the development of infants, toddlers and children cognitively and perceptually. For example, we ask questions such as: How does the visual system affect and is affected by cognitive development? At what age can infants expect stimuli to appear at a regular time? How do toddlers learn to draw conclusions? What neural mechanisms lie in the basis of cognitive development?
Apparatus
We use two types of tools: eye tracker and Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). More information coming soon.
What about older siblings?
They are invited as well, of course! Big brothers and sisters are invited to a tour of the lab, learn about the work of the scientist and see how scientific research is conducted. We adjust the tour by age, so make sure to contact us in advance.
